Note to Kyrie26-ga: For whatever reason, the rating that we gave you
for answering our question got changed from 4 stars (which is what we
felt you deserved for your fine answer/report) to 1 (!!) star. We
apologize -- it may have happened due to the "scroll" function of the
mouse.  Sorry!  frank2-ga

Thanks frank2-ga for your note! I'm glad to know you meant to give me
4 stars instead of 1! Whew!

I've sent a note to the editors to see what they can do.

It's been a pleasure serving you.

Hi again frank2-ga,

I wrote to the editors and this is what they had to say :

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thank you for your email. Unfortunately, ratings on an answer cannot
be
changed. Please request the customer to post a clarification on
question
id#202473 indicating that he meant to rate you 4-stars.
Thank you,
The Google Answers Team
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Sorry for the extra hassle... can I ask you for the favor of posting a
"clarification" on http://answers.google.com/answers/main?cmd=threadview&id=202473
stating that you had meant to give me 4 stars? It will definitely help
me when review time comes around. I would appreciate it very much!

Thanks,

kyrie26-ga

I had the same similar problem on eBay the other day.

I'm starting to notice a trend where I lot of web sites
are designed with a "No Undo" mentality, and no way to
reach a human being to correct the error. I look forward
to the day someone starts legal action to correct this!

Ebay has a way to correct incorrect ratings, but it does cost $$$.
