Prospective student from the U.S seeking advice from students, alumni,
etc. who can defend one school over the other based on any of these
factors:
1. reputation
2. student life
3. city
4. career opportunities/potentials
5. other miscellaneous things which will add to university experience.
I am faced with the dilemma for which school to accept my admission to.
I understand these two schools are nearly on equal footing in terms of
reputation. I will be studying in the faculty of Arts and Science.
Basically what I am asking is for someone who has attended either of
these institutions to give their personal insight, be it subjective,
objective, biased - anything goes. I merely want some guidance on the
matter so I will not regret my decision four years down the road. |

In terms of the criteria you've given and in general, I would choose
Queen's University.
Queen's is more reputable in general, their program is more sought
after by high school students, the campus is stunning, etc. For
science, commerce, and other various programs, I have not yet met a
student here that ranked Mcgill over Queen's. Having friends who
graduated from both universities of various programs, if it was my
choice, it seems like Queen's is hands down the clear winner.
Hope this has helped,

I should add though, that what I said is merely my personal opinion
based on my observations. As for making the final decision, I agree
with tisme-ga's advice .
Best of luck,
