This coming week is going to be hell, so it would be wonderful if
somebody could find me an online sound clip of astronomer Patrick
Moore playing the xylophone.

If that doesn't cheer me up nothing will, and frankly if this
new-fangled so called "interweb" can't manage that, then I'll be
shocked and dismayed.

Hopefully this will cheer you up:

I found this flash video of "Patrick Moore Plays the Xylophone":
http://www.b3ta.co.uk/patrickmoore/
You can see Patrick Moore flying through space as he plays!

That is truly fantastic, thanks. b3ta are 100% reliable in the
entertainment department. Answers still very welcome if any actual
recitals by the great man can be found.

Jumping Joe,

I can't see anything online myself, but I have fond memories of
Patrick Moore and a member of the London Philharmonic Orchestra
duetting on a xylophone version of Khachaturian's 'Sabre Dance'.

It's very possible that there is no legal source available and you may
have to resort to something recorded off the television.

Best of luck in your search.
