I have bought a new house. It is in bad condition and I am rebuilding a lot of it. I need to put in all the electricity and plumbing. What I am looking for is software that will facilitate this - planning where all the cables should go inside the walls, where I should lay the pipes etc. (a little like a CAD package). If it makes a difference, the house is in Malta (but I dont think it makes a difference). I have Windows XP and am an experienced user. James |

I have seen good reports of IMSI Floorplan 3D design suite. It's a 3-D home design package rather than a traditional CAD package. HOwever, IMSI also do a fairly serious CAD package too, called Turbocad. Floorplan 3D is about GPB50 and a Lite version of Turbocad is a free download. IMSI are at: http://www.imsisoft.com/ and the floorplan website is at http://www.floorplan.tv/floorplan/index.html The BuyNow link on that page links to Mediagold for European sales. Owain |
