I would like the links to 200 official Celebrity websites. I am not interested in fans websites. I am only interested in official websites that sell something. I don't care if it's a photo, an autograph, a coffee mug etc..however they must sell something. I want an equal mix of current Celebrities, and former Celebrities from the 40's, 50's, 60's 70's and 80's. Furthermore I would like a mix of roughly the following..use extra %'s as you wish... actors (20%), actresses (20%), athletes (15%), authors (10%), directors (2%), models (5%) and musicians (10%). The links must work, they must sell something, and they must be official websites by the Celelbrity or autorized by them. Please list the Celebrity's name, then what they did (what they were famous for), then the link. Thanks, Joel

Request for Question Clarification by tutuzdad-ga on 03 Jun 2003 19:03 PDT I must say, this is a much taller order than I first suspected. Its a great challenge to find them much less to catagorize them by date. I've no doubt that I can find a couple hundred official celebrity sites that sell merchandise but to go back that far in time is proving quite difficult. My question is this: Is the date aspect of greater importance than the notable history (actress, singer, model, etc) or are they of equal importance? The reason I am asking is because I am finding many more 1970's to present varieties than those from the past. On the other hand, I could probably produce several hundred if date was not an issue. Dear joel1357-ga; I am going to post this in segments to keep my data in order and to insure that none are inadvertently duplicated in the confusion. I want you to be able to see where we are with this project and have a chance to see the format and content in real time. Because of the frequency with which prolific performers’ careers span the years, occasionally you may see a celebrity who might ring a bell with you in a specific decade for which he/she is not actually listed. It was impossible to overcome this attribute because some of their careers did indeed span many, many years (Bob Hope for example) and they actually fit in any number of dated categories. In these instances, I merely placed the celebrity in a category in which he/she best fit in my own mind, but that is obviously not an indicator that his/her entire career is/was exclusive to that decade alone. Here you will find about 70 of the near 300 I have compiled thus far. My list may even exceed that number before I am through. It is a list of actors/actresses along with their official (or authorized) homepage, their claim to fame, the link to their merchandise and what that merchandise generally consists of. I am formatting other categories as of this writing and will be posting additional segements as they are ready for viewing. More data will be added and some may fit in the posted catagories or in future catagories. Please hold off on rating my answer until the posting of segments is complete. Many more are forthcoming and I anticipate roughly 300, possible more before I am finished. I am continuing on in the manner in which I have done below, but to reiterate my previous comment/question to you, if date and/or format is of little concern to you, I will have no trouble compiling several hundred of these for you and you can sort them as you wish. In fact, he might write for a lifetime before his work is ever really discovered or it may only become famous years after his death. In my search I also discovered that writers who died, often “died out”. While their works remain as a legacy and can easily be found on Amazon and the like, the public presence of the late author seems to simply vanish, thereby adding to the difficulty in finding official sources for their work and merchandise.
