Why can't I receive my hotmail emails? The cache is 45% full. The only
ones I receive are from Hotmail when I report the problem but I
receive no solutions. I have been asked if I support Java or if my
cookies are enabled. I don't know what that means.

What email service are you using?

Could some sort of anti-spam feature be blocking all hotmail accounts?

Do you mean that you have a hotmail account, and it won't receive
*any* emails, or that you have another email account, and it won't
receive any emails from hotmail users?

If it's the former then your problem could well be the dodgy spam
filter. One of my friends on hotmail couldn't receive my emails for
ages until he suddenly realised that for no good reason at all they
were going into the junk mail folder.

You can then put your friends on a safe list, so that their emails are
always delivered to your inbox - emails from the actual hotmail people
are presumably marked safe by default, which might explain why you're
receiving them.

Have you ever received messages successfully at this account? Did you
change anything?

Go to 'Options' and see if you have set anything that will exclude
mail from your account.

Go to 'View All Folders' and see if anything is in your junk mail
folder. You can tell HotMail to recognize mail from senders whose
messages you wish to receive. Is any of the mail you're missing stuck
there amidst the debt consolidation and anatomical enlargement ads?

Send yourself a message from another account and see what happens to
it. Does it bounce back to you? Does it get filtered into junk mail?

Send yourself a message *at* that Hotmail account and *from* that
HotMail account. You should immediately see that one in your Inbox as
incoming. Do you?
