1. PRICES PAID BY CABLE NETWORKS FOR SYNDICATED SHOWS OF CERTAIN
TYPE.
I am developing a TV newsmagazine like 60 Minutes or Dateline and want
to license it to one of the below mentioned cable networks so I want
to see what cable networks are paying for this type of show. I want
to find prices that the following cable networks have paid to license
other syndicated news/talk/controversy/reality-type shows. The
networks: FoxNewsChannel, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, USA, TBS, MTV, TNN,
Bloomberg, CourtTV. What you provide me must NOT be entertainment
shows that came from major networks (like Friends, CSI, etc.) but
news/talk/controversy/reality-type shows from independent syndicators.
Parameters:
A. With all the above prices/information I need the source so I can
document it for my business plan. This could be an article, chart,
grid, etc. but I must be able to find/verify it and the credible
source behind it on my own.
B. I do not want aggregate/general/market information. I want
specific detailed information such as "TV station KTLA in Los Angeles
licensed the show Inside Edition for $3,000 per episode" or "MSNBC is
buying the Michael Savage show for $100,000 per episode" or "french
production company C'est La Vie TV paid $200,000 for the exclusive
format rights for one year for the show 60 Minutes". I'm looking for
actual specific prices not general market conditions. They should
indicate the show, the buyer, the price and when possible the unit
(episode/series/year).
C. These don't count because they are too general and I already have
them:
