Hi hailstorm, I'm posting this information as a comment instead of an answer because the data is not confirmed. I hope it's helpful: Korean Central Television Broadcasting (KCTV) Satellite Orbit position: 78.5° Eastern Longitude (THAICOM-3) Downlink Frequency 3,424.5 MHz (Horizontal partiality) Signal Mode: Digital transmission Symbol Rate: 3367 Khz Directional Angle 281 degree FEC: 3/4 Surface to satellite 56 degree Time (GMT) 06.00 -14.00 It appears that the Thaicom satellite covers Japan, so if you have access to a satellite receiver, you might want to try those coordinates. Here's another link that provides a picture from one of their broadcasts: http://www.apsattv.com/satellites/thaicom3.html |

The satellite mentioned in the previous two comments seems to be the only one with KCTV: http://www.lyngsat.com/freetv/North-Korea.shtml The free-to-air TV-channels from South Korea are mentioned on the following page: http://www.lyngsat.com/freetv/South-Korea.shtml |

Thank you all for your information. Unfortunately, it doesn't help me in particular to gain the ability to watch that wacky programming as I am without access to a sattelite dish (I suppose it was too much to expect to find some cable company carrying it...) |
