The only US turnover data I am aware of is not specific to the Fortune
1000, nor does it break out the types of employees affected.

For instance, some of the data for August 2001 looks like this:

Total private........................... 5.0
  Mining................................. 3.8
  Construction........................... 6.0
  Manufacturing.......................... 3.3
   Durable goods......................... 3.2
   Nondurable goods...................... 3.5
  Transportation and public utilities.... 3.0
  Wholesale trade........................ 3.6
  Retail trade........................... 6.0
Finance, insurance, and real estate.... 2.8
  Services............................... 5.9

 Government.............................. 2.4
  Federal................................ 1.7
  State and local........................ 2.5

The numbers are separations during the month as a percent of total
employment in each industry.

Further breakdowns are available for different types of turnover:
quits, layoffs+discharges, retirement+other. But as I said, they
don't seem to be available for type of employee, or for sectors within
each industry area.

Let me know if these would be of interest as an answer to your
question...the most recent data available is for March 2003.

I would not be interested in that data. What you posted comes out of the BLSA.
