Question ID: 213005
Hi, I'm performing an "undertaking" of my choice on Technology and
Human values, and I have chosen the whole "Big Brother" surveillence
issue.

I am looking for general as well as specific information on and about
the "issue" of surveillence, surrounding human rights, government
involvement, society etc. For example, any organizations that are
currently involved, or any activist groups either for or against it,
major producers of surveillence equipment and any promising new
technology on the horizon. Also, somewhere I can find out about United
States Citizens rights regarding surveillence and cameras. Basically,
any information you yourself are willing to provide for the price,
along with links to Surveillence Company sites, any Pro or Anti Big
Brother organization websites, Human Rights Websites with information
about this, Conspiracy Theories, And anything else you may be able to
find. I am in need of an answer by Thursday 12 noon. Thanks So much
and please feel free to clarify for me, this afternoon. Thanks.

Hello blaskotnu:

Thanks for the interesting question. Since you are in a hurry for this
information for your "undertaking", here is how I propose we proceed.
Over the next couple of hours, I will compile a quick list of links
and information on the "Big Brother" theme, which I will post as an
answer to your question. Hopefully, this will provide you with the
opportunity to ask for any clarifications or areas where you need more
detail before your time limit of tomorrow noon.

How's that sound?

Working on it...

Sounds Excellent. I have this "undertaking" thing due tomorrow by 5
o-clock, so when I said noon, it was to give me time to work on it
with the help you guys provided, however, there are no guidlines for
the "undertaking" so I am forced to make up my own.. what I'll be
doing is creating some sort of report/project today and tomorrow, and
I had trouble finding good Information so I came to you guys. So, to
clarify a little more, just some sort of collection of general
knowledge on the subject that I can turn into a project. You guys are
awesome thanks so much

Hi blaskotnu:

OK - let's get started. I've compiled the following information that
should allow you to quickly get the lay of the land and indentify
exactly what you want to write about in your report. I suggest that
you scan through the specific pages I've identified first (plus any
links from those pages you find compelling). Once you've identified
your precise project topic, if you need me to research further
details, I'd be more than happy to help. Just send me a Clarification
Request.

What an amazing service you guys provide. I found this on a whim today
while I was searching for this information my self, thanks so much for
this help.

See if you can't find anything on the future of surveillence, even if
it is far fetched, or something in the works. Anything that might be
"in development" or on the horizon. Anything on new and upcoming
technology, especially controversial or impacting technology, in this
area. Thanks so much, 5 stars and a tip for all your help,

Excellent work, found exactly what I needed, and was extremely helpful
and kind. Great Researcher, deserves a promotion or gold star sticker
;-) one or the other. Who would of thought? Personal researchers for
hire, and their damn good. Takes all the trouble of you struggling
through broken links and not finding what you need. Will definately do
business with Google Answers team in the future, thanks again.
