I'm having trouble finding web "reviews" of David Lerner
Associates, a money management firm mostly based in the NY-NJ
area.
Admittedly, I didn't do any due diligence before committing
my 2003 IRA money, but I did put 1/3 into a tax-free
muni bond fund (Rochester) with an excellent rate of return.
It's not a proprietary investment vehicle, they're simply
offering it to me.
The other 2/3 went into Lerner's Apple Hospitality program,
which is like a mini-REIT that purchases extended stay hotels
and pays investors around 8% or so.
I'm actually looking for resources on the web that give
opinions on the Lerner organization, and the Apple hospitality
program itself.

Specifically which Apple Hospitality program did you invest in (some
of them have numbers as suffixes, such as Apple Hospitality Two, Apple
Hospitality Five, etc.)?

Better Business Bureau for New York only shows 1 complaint against
them which I guess shows that they are mostly a reliable and honest
company, but I'll have to check further to see if I can find exactly
the information you were looking for.

Do your own Google search using the terms "Apple Hospitality Five" and
"David Lerner" or "David Lerner Associates" and I think you'll find
lots of interesting links that will be most informative.
