I've heard this funny story about a prospective deacon who was being
examined by his local church and asked about his favorite book of the
Bible, which he said was the book of "Parables" - he then recited one,
which was a hilarious mixture of various Bible stories.

This story has apparently been around a while and like the game of
passing a message from one person to another, it has undergone some
minor changes as it passes hands. Some list the person relating the
story as a deacon, others a seminary student and still others “a
candidate for Church Member”. Enjoy:
