Hello felisque!
I know how to do this; however, this doesn't ensure that your DOS
program will run in Windows XP (that's why I'm posting this as a
clarification request rather than as an answer). I have tried several
DOS programs with various memory configurations under WinXP and got
nothing but a blank screen.

That said, the way to use "expanded memory" in Windows XP is very
easy. Just right-click on the .EXE file you will be running, and
choose Properties. Then choose the "Memory" tab, and there you can set
the Expanded Memory size you need.

Please let me know if this worked for you so I can post it as an
answer and collect the fee ;-)

Best wishes!

Hello elmarto!

Your answer is refering to Windows XP(Home Edition)
I mentionned on the subject that I was refering to Windows XP
Professionnal.
This solution doesn`t work with XP Professional.
In the help section of XP professionnal, it is mentionned that it need
MEMORY MANAGER compatible with Lotus/Intel/Microsoft (LIM).
Would you know where I could find that.

Thank you

Hi felisque!!

I have a suggestion for you, try the following program, it let me run
several DOS programs on my Windows XP.
DOSBox:
http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/information.php

http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/download.php?main=1

From the Readme file:
Q: I've got a Z instead of a C at the prompt.
A: In DOSBox you can mount directories as drives
in win32: mount c D:\ would give you an C in DOSBox which points
   at D:\ in win32
Note by me: you must mount a drive or a directory to work, and then
follow like if you are working in a DOS system. But I recommend you to
use the following front end of DOSBox:
DoBoxFro:
http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/downloads/tools/doboxfro.zip

Just unzip the files in the DOSBox directory and run doboxfro.exe.

Another option is DodGE (The DOS Game Emulator):
http://www.eliel.com/dodge.html

Please take a look to every readme file, this files have valuable
helps and tips.

Also take a look here:
"Install: MS-DOS on Win XP or 2K or NT":
http://tweakhomepc.virtualave.net/dual/dualdosonnt.html

If somethig of this works, let me know and I will post it as an
answer.
Best Regards.

I have seen this solution, of right-clicking to properties and
configuring
the memory tab , in several websites....however when i right-click exe
files, i only ever get two tabs, general and compatiblity, or if its a
shortcuts propertises , only , general, shortcuts and compatiblity,
which is very frustrating. anyone know the reason why?
