The address insertion is working well, until I proctect the form. Then I get a Run-time error 4605: This method or property is not available because the object refers to a protected area of the document. I've tested it with sections, but that screws up the formatting. Is there any way to make it work with the document protected? I can put a copy of the template om my server if that will help you. |

The original article I pointed you at covers this. Here it is again: Using {MacroButton} fields to insert information from the Outlook Address Book into documents such as letters http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/TblsFldsFms/InsertAdrsWMacroFld.htm Look at the section near the bottom. It shows how to unprotect the document before you start, then reprotect it. So you'd do something like: ActiveDocument.Unprotect ... Do everything ActiveDocument.Protect Type:=wdAllowOnlyFormFields, NoReset:=True - Hammer |
