I was given an Escadrille Lafayette Indian head logo in 1955 by French
airmen. It is unlike the original "Hat in the Ring" logo of American
volunteers during World War I which faced to the right and was
elongated. This one was more circular facing to the left and had a
round symbol like the NAZI swatzika but in the opposite direction. I
lost it and would like to get a copy. So, my question is: Where can I
access a site that would lead me to getting a copy?"

The 1955-56 French bases were located on West Germany soil. One was
close to the small village of Lahr in Schwartzwald, south of
Strasbourgh, France, but on the German side of the Rhine River. The
other was further south, just south of Freiburg, West Gerkmany but
north of Basel, Switzerland.

Do a GOOGLE search using the search terms, at the same time (all at
once) in the search box: "Lafayette Escadrille" AND "insignia", and
you will see many links that might pull up what you seek--it's really
hard to know what you are looking for since only you are familiar with
the exact description. Looks like many sites have replicas or
pictures of the badges and you are almost certain to find what you
want.

SINCERELY,
