Question ID: 213745
Does a world record exist for the longest live audio webcast by a
single individual, IE x number of hours stayed awake behind the
microphone on Internet radio? If so, what is the record? I am aware
such a record exists for conventional radio but not whether one exists
for an Internet audio live webcast.

Since there is no listing in the Guinness recordbook, what kind of
proof would you need that something is a webcast record?

On May 28, 2001, Glen Jones broke a world radio record with a 100-hour
stint, as detailed on this page:

As you note, there's a box at the bottom of the page thanking a
company for the streaming video.

The following page confirms that this was shown on streaming video:

What additional proof would you need that this radio record is also
the longest one-person webcast?

Thanks!

Since Guinness doesn't have a listing for a webcast record, it may be
that no such record exists. It certainly seems clear that webcasting
of the radio stint did occur, so I suppose all that remains to be
clarified is whether a video of a radio event would be considered by
guinness to be a webcast record, or whether they would see a dedicated
webcast only event as a separate record.
