I have found your cartoon in one of my Kliban collections.

I can tell you where you may purchase the book in which the cartoon
appears, or I can scan the cartoon and give you a link to it, or both.
If you'd like me to scan the cartoon, what file format (gif, jpg, pcx,
or such) do you prefer?

Thanks pinkfreud, a .jpg would be perfect and the book reference would be a bonus.

The cartoon you're seeking is in the book entitled "Whack Your
Porcupine, and Other Drawings by B. Kliban."

The book appears to be out of print at this time, but used copies are
plentiful, and are not terribly pricey. Here you'll find a selection
of merchants who offer the book for sale (this may take a little while
to load, since it is performing a search):

My own copy of "Whack Your Porcupine" is, unfortunately, 25 years old,
and the pages have become very yellowed and brittle, which made it
difficult to capture a good scan of the cartoon. This is the best I

through my Kliban libary looking for this. What an amazingly
sensitive, surreal, hilarious mind Kliban had!

This sounds more like a Gary Larsen quote to me...

In a simple keyword search I was able to verify it is Kliban's
cartoon, however it's not easily found...

I also found many sites that referred to the cartoon and Kliban, but
was unable to find the actual cartoon.
