I need to put together a regional street map covering the Chicago area,
including Lake County in Northwest Indiana. I'm looking for either one
map that covers everything in Cook County, Ill., as well as Lake
County, Ind., or two maps with the same scale, so I can combine them
in one presentation.

I know I can get such a map custom-made, but I don't want to pay that
much. An acceptable answer will lead me somewhere I can purchase what
I need for $20 or less. Researcher will get a tip equal to half of the
difference between $20 and the price of the map(s) you find for me.

Hi there,

I not quite sure of the level of detail you are looking for in your
desired map, but I found this one:

62-6592CC Chicago & Cook County Street Atlas. (Rand McNally). $15.95

http://www.omnimap.com/catalog/cats/illinois.htm

If this one meets your needs please let me know and I will post this
as an answer :)

Answerguru:

The map you referenced is an atlas, a book of smaller maps. I need a
map I can unfold, or two I can unfold and tape together. This is going
to go on a bulletin board, so size isn't a problem.

Hi again,

You may have problems finding something like this given your price
range...I was not able to find any but another researcher may come
across something :)

If it helps, I'd be perfectly satisfied with a company that sells a
street map of Lake County and a Street map of southern Cook and
another map of northern Cook. As long as the key and styling is the
same, I don't care if I have to paste together three $3 maps.
