I am interested in finding the names and contact info of the top
"goodie bag" organizers in Los Angeles and New York. ("Goodie bags"
are those special bags of 'treats' that are handed out to guests as
after-party favors and may include such free products as hair care
items to cell phones.) I am especially interested in those that
specialize in prepping/distributing the bags for celebrity events,
such as the Oscars, Tony Awards, Grammies, etc.

For the goodie bags at the 2003 Oscars, Distinctive Assets teamed up
with Front Desk LA. This partnership was reported in the Seattle
Times:
"Organized by Front Desk LA and Distinctive Assets... the value of the
gifts totals $37,000 to $45,000."
source: "Stars make out like bandits with lavish Oscar goodie bags"
http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/news/entertainment/oscars2003/news/goodie23.html
It was also reported in
"To soothe their pain, the losers are getting their very own basket of
expensive goodies this year. Distinctive Assets (the company that put
together this year's Grammy gift baskets), along with Front Desk Los
Angeles, is coordinating the baskets"

Front Desk Los Angeles is actually a magazine. It's owned by a company
called Modern Luxury. Contact information for their L.A. and Chicago
offices is on the Modern Luxury web site:
http://www.modernluxury.com/mediakits/main_general.htm

search strategy:
grammy, oscars,
gift bags, "goodie bag", "goodie bags"

I hope this helps.
