Try this:

http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.pcmag.com

It won't get you back to 1988 (few sites will...!) but at least it's a start.

I found a database with articles from 1990+ but you would need to use
it at your library. If you are still interested, let me know.

Thank you for the links. I do not need complete archives of PC
Magazine. I only need the following articles:

September 1989 – “How TCP/IP Links Dissimilar Machines”
September 1990 – “How a Disk Cache Works”
February 1993 – “How Computers Work”
May 1996 – “Backup HSM and media choice”, Tape Backup
August 1998 – “Power User Tutor”
August 1998 – “Fast Forward”
June 9, 1998 – “User-Interfaces”
July 1999 – “Infrastructure for Streaming Video”
November 1999 – “Using Web-based Email”
March 2000 – “Ready for the Bazillion-Byte Drive?”

Maybe somebody that has access to a library database could send them
to me by e-mail?
