Hi I feed my parrots on witte molen parrot premium which I send away for(I think it is made in Holland). It is a good seed mixture with low sunflower seed content. I have never found they take well to the pellet diets as they get bored with them too quickly. Parrots like a good varied diet. I also feed mine on plenty of fruit and veg such as broccoli, apple, strawberry, melon, pear, grapes, watercress, chickweed, lambs lettuce, the list is endless. I have found they love nutriberrys but would never feed it as a complete food because there is too much wastage. I would never use any of the proprietary parrot mixes you can buy in pet stores because of the high sunflower content which can lead to deficient diets. As well as the seed and veg they are also aloud cooked food such as pasta, potatoe, rice etc. Cheryl Sprowston guinea pig rescue |
