I have a HP pavilion 725n and Nikon LS 2000 , Completed all installs,
adaptec board etc loaded software, operating with windows xp home,
Nikon scan 3.1.2 apsi 4.70 etc. each time I open software the same
message appears, "device not recognized". I have retraced steps, and
verified all steps with the suggested troubleshooting literature, the
device manager states device is working properly. etc.  Do you have
any suggestion which will fix the communication between the Nikon Scan
software and the HP Windows XP software so that I can use the Nikon LS
2000?

Are you running the latest firmware version of Nikon Scan that works
with your configuration? (1.31)
