Is Hanmail down? Has it been closed or bought out? Are they in a
transition? I ask because emails to all of my contacts in Korea have
been returned undeliverable for three days now. I doubt they all
decided to switch from Hanmail at the same time. Anyone out there
know anything about this?

Hello Genki2,
When I put in www.hanmail.net (here's a tip when you want to check if
an email service is still up - go to the main website. For example, if
you have a friend with the address jerry@fireclix.com, try
www.fireclix.com), what came up was www.daum.net. Daum is the Korean
company that owns hanmail, but they decided to rename the website into
Daum.net. However, if you look at the Daum site, the hanmail.net
address is still intact. I suppose there was a server problem at the
time you were sending mail, or you used hanmail.com, which would be
different. If you still have problems with hanmail.net, try putting
daum.net in the email addresses of the people in place of hanmail.net.

History of Daum.net
http://info.daum.net/info2002/eng/history.html

Frontpage of Daum.net and Hanmail
http://www.daum.net/

Search strategy:
Surfed on in to www.hanmail.net, and examined the front page
Google search string: hanmail

I hope this has been a most helpful answer. If you have any problem
with it, do please post a Request for Clarification and I shall
respond. Thank you.
