The actual question is "What is the name of the ghost that allegedly inhabits Powers Auditorium" (in Youngstown, OH) (formerly the Warner Theatre (and the answer is NOT Sam Warner!))? Talking to the workers at Powers Auditorium, they do not know, but indicated that there was a person killed in the theatre, presumably when it was being renovated (which happened in the 1968-69 time period). I have searched the Internet and have come up with nothing. I don't know if a newspaper database search would help or if someone has a book regarding Youngstown folklore that would have the answer. Thanks! |

This is similar to the Manila Film Center in the Philippines: http://members.tripod.com/putay/_reqdis/00000033.htm http://theshadowlands.net/places/philippines.htm It is said that during its construction, scaffolding gave way and led to some worker's deaths and others getting injured. But instead of bringing the injured workers to the hospitals, they were left there and buried in cement because the construction of the place was so terribly rushed (supposedly Imelda Marcos's decision), and so their ghosts are said to haunt the place. |
