I work at a non-profit educational organization that works with urban youth in low-income communities to develop their leadership skills and teach them to think critically about world issues. We are currently developing a project to inspire and activate young people in the U.S. about the public policies that most affect their lives (through an online game). So why ask for help here? We are a small organization and have some foundational support to develop this project, but thought there might be a researcher interested in using their skills to help us identify which policies can meet all three following criteria: 1) Which public policy issues most affect todays youth 2) Which public policy issues would most interested todays youth 3) Which public policy issues have the best shot of being changed through collective youth action. I posted $5 because I want to stick up some amount, but clearly we are looking for folks interesting in helping us find studies that do broad public policy cross analysis that give value to some issues over others, or reports that investigate a particular public policy and argue for its relevance. Do know your work will be used to help us argue for the full funding this project will require which, once launched, can impact hundreds of thousands of young people. |
