Hello zarb-ga,

Mosquitoes kill more human beings per year than any other animal. As
an article on the subject notes, "Mosquitoes kill more humans
worldwide in five minutes than sharks do in a year."

Technically, the mosquitoes don't kill people; the diseases they carry
do.

However, people wouldn't get the diseases if the mosquitos did not
transmit them. I suppose it's like saying that guns technically don't
kill people; the bullets they fire do. The bullets wouldn't do much
harm without the guns, and the same with diseases and mosquitos.

I hope that this information is helpful.
