This is a yes/no question with the possiblity of a more expensive
question coming your way if it is possible.

Is it possible for me to obtain a list of all establishments within
the Twin Cities, MN area that have a license to sell alcohol at their
place of business. The definition of "Twin Cities" will come if this
is possible.

The list would have to be in a format that would be easily imported
into a SQL Server, and include details such as address, city, state,
phone, county, zip, etc....you get the picture.

If it's possible, whoever answers this questionw will get the stab at
it..i'm thinking this is a $20-$30 question...let me know, i'm new! :D

One more thing I forgot to add...I'm looking for establishments like
bars, restaurants, places where people can go congregate. Not places
like liquor stores or vendors.

Thanks

This isn't *really* a yes/no question...it's more of a "maybe". To do
what you want, the licenses would have to be (a) publicly available
and (b) in an electronic format.

To find out if both of these conditions are met in the various
jurisdictions of the Twin Cities area is a lot more than a $2 effort,
I'm afraid. And getting the actual data (if it can be gotten) is
likely to be more than $20-30 worth of effort (for me, anyway),
especially since more than one licensing agency would be involved.

Perhaps you'd like to reconsider your question or your pricing to
increase the likeliehood of getting the information you're after.

I figured it was publicly available from a department of commerce, or
ATF department. Actually, I was hoping someone would know right off
the top of their head for the $2...the production of the list price
would be completely negotiable...like I said...first time :D

Thanks!

Hats off to mysteryreader-ga for finding what you need.

Since mysteryreader is not a GA researcher (researcher names appear in
purple, and can be clicked on), he/she won't be able to submit the
information as an answer to your question, I'm afraid.

You may want to go ahead and post your follow-up question about
getting the actual list you're seeking.

Delighted to help and no pay was expected. Also based on what was
offered by the State, I don't think you'll need anyone to take extra
steps to get you the info you wanted in easily importable form -- just
place your order with them. I wouldn't have the time to provide
technical help for a database build or manipulation of the list, so if
you do need more help feel free to seek it from one of the paid
responders.
