Could you explalin in more detail what the abberant behavior is in
your computers? It's possible that the cause will be something else
aside from x-rays left over in that room. Thank you.

An associated electromechanical device is posting an unusual firmware
error indicating a communication problem between a control board and
an airpump on the device. This is happening on two separate systems in
the same room. All physical troubleshooting pointed to a software
problem. We reloaded the personal computer software that communicates
with the device (through which the operator interfaces with the
device). This corrected the problem for 24 hrs, after which the same
error was posted.

What is unusual is that two systems (2 PCs and 2 devices)are both
showing this problem. Seeing it on 1 system alone is unusual. Seeing
it on two systems in the same room is unheard of. The same systems are
at several other companies with the exact same configuration - no
problem.

I am wondering if there is an environmental contributor to the
problem. Could be radiation of some sort or static. The fact that the
lab in which the system is installed is an old X-ray room - fully
enclosed with lead. Need documented evidence whether or not lead from
an old x-ray room emits some type of low level of radiation (e.g.
electromagnetic) or can set up a potential creating static.
