I have installed a "Java web server 2.0" since long and running
successfully.
Recently, when I tried to stop and start the "web services". While
starting, it gave following error message and keeps on displaying more
and more such messages in console window. The service status in Admin
panel is : "unknown" instead of "starting" or "running".
Message:
"javawebserver: Java Web Server WARNING: Cannot find configuration for
server-wide event log"
"javawebserver: Java Web Server WARNING: Cannot find configuration for
server-wide error log"
I rebooted the system but no result! But, when reinstalled it works
fine.
Any solution will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks. |

Hi,
I might have misunderstood but since you wrote:
"But, when reinstalled it works fine."
Do you still have the problem? Or does this happen everytime you stop it?
Thanks.

2 weeks back I faced the same problem but as I could not find a way to
fix it, I reinstalled it. It worked fine for 2 weeks and again I faced
the same problem yesterday and I had to reinstall it once again!
Hope this will help.

Hi,
I'm getting the impression that a file within your Java server
directory is being deleted somehow, you could try setting that
configuration file to 'read-only'.
Thanks.

Hi endo.
Thanks for trying to solve this problem.
Do you have any clue which file it could be?
Particularly, by looking at the error message, can you give some
helpful suggestion please?
Thanks and waiting for your response,
Parth
