Find 1 professional periodical article (from a business journal or
professional journal other than Trust and Estates Magazine), and 1
primary legal authority (from a state or federal regulation, private
letter ruling, and/or court case)with content that can be made into
"rules" related to the use of trusts in estate planning. I need these
for making a checklist of "Dos and Don'ts of using trusts"--developing
"rule" statements concerning what to do or what not to do in using
trusts in an estate plan; at least one rule from each source and
explain the reason/implication for the "rule".

Please mention what state is applicable, since estate/trust law varies
from state to state. Please also mention if this information is
needed for a course you are taking or whether it is just for personal
information. Any library book about trusts and estates will have the
information you are looking for.

SINCERELY,

Thanks for your comments. I need this for a school assignment. The
state is California, although the sources do not need to be state
specific. I need at least 1 professional periodical article (from a
business journal or professional journal) and at least 1 primary legal
authority (from a state or Federal regulation, private letter ruling,
and/or court case). My assignment is to make a checklist concerning
what to do or what not to do in using trusts in an estate plan, using
"do" or "don't" statements--e.g., "Don't use a GRUT for ....". The
statements are to come from information found in these sources. I
couldn't find any periodical articles, or state or federal regulation,
private letter ruling, or court case at the library. Thanks for your
help. JOHN
