Hi Paul:

The obvious question is to ask if you have submitted your site to
Google on its Add URL page:
 - ://www.google.com/addurl.html

If not, you should, but not until you make some changes to actually
give Google and any other search engine some "content" to actually
index. Your home page, while attractive and simple, "index.html" has
nothing there to index so far as search engines are concerned.

It contains nothing but images with only a few words of text (and
those refer to your web designer, not your site content). Everything
else is a graphic image which have no ALT tags, so they cannot be
indexed, either.

Starting from the beginning:
============================

Every page should have a DOCTYPE declaration and be designed to that.
Explanation of the whys and wherefores of DOCTYPE Declaration can be
found here:
 - http://www.alistapart.com/stories/doctype/
and
 - http://www.htmlhelp.com/tools/validator/doctype.html

Then, follow Google's Information for Webmasters about:

Design and Content:
===================

* Make a site with a clear hierarchy and text links.
  Every page should be reachable from at least one static
  text link.
* Offer a site map to your users with links that point to
  the important parts of your site. If the site map is larger
  than 100 or so links, you may want to break the site map
  into separate pages.
* Create a useful, information-rich site and write pages
  that clearly and accurately describe your content.
* Think about the words users would type to find your pages,
  and make sure that your site actually includes those
  words within it.
* Try to use text instead of images to display important
  names, content, or links. The Google crawler doesn't
  recognize text contained in images.
* Make sure that your TITLE and ALT tags are descriptive
  and accurate.

Links TO your page:
===================

Google's Page Rank is determined by your page's relevance and sites
that link to you. You can read Google's page rank information here:

Avoid:
======

Google also gives you a list of things to avoid so your site won't be
penalized:
* Quality Guidelines - Basic Principles
  - ://www.google.com/webmasters/guidelines.html

and

* Quality Guidelines - Specific Recommendations:

Submission to Yahoo! and DMOZ:
==============================

Google recommends submission to Yahoo! and DMOZ in its Instructions
for Getting Listed (See: 2. What else can I do to get listed in
Google?)
   - ://www.google.com/webmasters/1.html

When you have finished the revisions to your site and are ready, then
you can submit your page to Google's Add URL page at:
 - ://www.google.com/addurl.html

Good Luck!
