What are the worldwide trends in cyber terrorism, specially in
commercial, corporate and government instances?
What are 3 examples of recent (within 3-6 months) major attacks
whether attempted or successful, and what are the details:
1. Who was reponsibile and who was attacked?
2. What occurred, what was done about it, what damages were inflicted
and what monetary loss (directly or indirectly) was attributed?
3. What motives were attributed to the attacks?
4. Through what means were the attacks carried out?
I am looking for a technical, high level answer. |

What do *you* mean by cyber-terrorism? There's a lot of cyber-crime
out there and an awful lot of cyber-tomfoolery, but cyber-terrorism?
Hmmmmm. So are you refering to terrorists committing acts of
terrorism for political/religious/belief reasons or just jerks
committing, say, major denial of service attacks simply because they
can and they are jerks?
Thanks.

Ultimately, I am interested in those activities that break the law.
That would include everyone from most t.fools that had a lucky day to
the serious racial, religious and commercial hacker-gone-bad.
For purposes of this exercise, please focus on inflicted damage
measured in direct or indirect monetary loss from the commercial and
then the governmental sectors.

Hi folks,
I am half through answering this question but need to go to my
granddaughter's birthday party :-)
Hopefully with the permission of the questioner mondoman-ga, I would
ask that the other Google folks give me the opportunity to finish
answering this question later today (Sunday, June 15).
Thanks in advance,

Many, many apologies. I tripped on a soccer ball at my
granddaughter's birthday party yesterday and threw out my back, so am
being VERY slow at doing anything. I am truly still working on your
answer, but if you don't want to wait for me, I fully understand. I
had planned on having it posted last night, but it now looks like
tomorrow. (The muscle relaxants help, but not *that* much, and have
their downside as well, as anyone who has ever used them knows :-)
I appreciate yours and my fellow researchers allowing me the
opportunity to answer this question, but if you don't want to wait
another day, I fully understand. I have a great deal of info, but you
are the buyer so your wishes are primary.
Best regards,

Acorn,
I appreciate your update, yes I was looking for your reply 12 hours
ago.
I feel for your dilema, having recently overcome several weeks of back
pain myself, I know what a slow recovery it can be.
I prefer to open the question up to all Researchers again. Please
allow yourself the recovery you need and answer this as you feel up to
it, or pass it over all together.
Best regards,
Joseph
