Hello 1115-ga
I located background information on Carl Taalak including how he
signed his work.
I was not able to find examples of his work however there is a museum
that will produce photographic materials suitable for reproduction in
black and white or color of the objects in its collections. They
appear to have a basket attributed to Carl Taalak.
I have also found an image of a Kinguktuk basket and a Baleen basket
by Marvin S. Peter.
Please let me know if the information I assembled would be of your
interest and I will post it as the official answer.

Yes, that's the book I found.
The background information that I have about Carl Tallak are excerpts
from the same book. I have about two pages of information but as I
said this is information taken from the book you have on order.
Unfortunately I have no information on the value of his work.
