Hi chupacabra!!

Donīt worry, your problem has an easy solution. you must use one of
the following applications; the free options are more risky:

First of all obtain the boot disks for your system, for instructions
go to the following page:
"HOW TO: Create Setup Boot Disks for Windows 2000":
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=http://support.microsoft.com:80/support/kb/articles/Q197/0/63.ASP&NoWebContent=1

You can also download them from the following pages:
"Tech24 Boot Disks":
http://www.tech24.com/tools/bootdisk.asp

"Windows Bootdisks" (scroll down the page):
http://www.drd.dyndns.org/fr_index.html?/disks.html

Now you must use one of the following applications; the free options
are more risky:
"Windows XP / 2000 / NT Key":
http://www.lostpassword.com/windows-xp-2000-nt.htm

This program let you reset Windows XP / 2000 / NT security if
Administrator password, secure boot password or key disk is lost.
Also visit this page:
http://www.lostpassword.com/windows-faq.htm

Cost ----> U$S 195.00

-----------------------------------------------------

"NTAccess 1.4":
http://www.mirider.com/ntaccess.html

NTAccess can replace the administrator password of a Windows NT,
Windows 2000 or Windows XP system by rebooting the computer with a
special set of boot disks.
Costs EUR 75.00 (about $ US 78.00).

---------------------------------------------------

Free Solutions:

"Offline NT Password & Registry Editor"
This is a utility to (re)set the password of any user that has a valid
(local) account on your NT system. You do not need to know the old
password to set a new one:
http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/

How to get it?
This program is free, and you can download it from here:
http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/binsrc.html

"John the Ripper"
http://www.openwall.com/PR/unix.shtml

Hi chupacabra!!
I donīt know any trouble related to the program that can cause this
kind of behavior, but can you give more detail about the actual
problem on your PC?
Have you recovered the password?
When I have this additional info I will be able to try to help you
solving this new problem.

Thank you.

I'd recommend the free
ntpasswd(http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/). It's worked well
for me in the past. And if something does go wrong, since you just set
up the machine there's probably not any important data on there to
lose.
