Is there a way (in Outlook Express) to add a sender to the "block sender" list without having to click the mouse four times? Can't a micro be written (and how) that one keystroke would do it all? |

Actually, when I use it it it does not require clicking Yes or Enter. You shoul dbe able to turn off the confirmation request. However, I will ask the editors to remove my answer and hopefully another researcher can find what you desire. Best regards, -=clouseau=- |

It would be very difficult to set this up in Outlook Express. Version 5.5 does not have a Macro feature built in, and although I haven't upgraded to 6.0 yet, I don't hold out hope for that feature either. If you have multiple messages of senders you want blocked, you could use a VBScript that uses the SendKeys method to go through a number of messages automatically. Using the same keystrokes clouseau identified, it would make the task go faster than a manual method, but I do not see a way of getting around the use of multiple keystrokes or mouse clicks. FYI - The blocked senders are added into the registry in the following path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{Some Long GUID}\Software\Microsoft\Outlook Express\(5.0 or 6.0)\Block Senders\Mail\Criteria http://www.experts-exchange.com/CXO/Operating_Systems/Q_20276570.html Regards, flajason |
