Question ID: 218547
I'm trying to set up a server in Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast with only
certain force powers allowed. I've seen it done, logging into other's
servers that only have force jump and saber throw...how come I can't
seem to set it up this way?

Clarification of Question by thatnimrod-ga on 17 Jun 2003 15:46 PDT
in other words, how do i set up a game with only force jump power allowed?

i think you can only set up the class of force powers allowed. In this
case, it sounds like (off the top of my head) you are looking for
either initiate or jedi (whichever allows some force powers, but the
least possible)

I don't think you can dictate specific force powers, only the class.
So, this would enable jump, force throw saber, push, pull, and maybe
speed.

that can't be right, i've logged into servers where you could add
points (levels of each power) for your saber's attributes and force
jump, however, nothing else. in other words, you can't give yourself
force grip or force push... it wont let you add the points to it... i
am wondering whether or not this is a unix server hack of some kind or
a mod that people have enabled...but it doesn't seem to be built in to
the game, no.....its not common enough--however, i'm sure its on a lot
of people's minds...i've run into quite a few people that wished you
could only allow one or two specific forces...i've searched
exhaustivley to find some way to set up a server like that...im
convinced its a hack of some kind...

still searching for answers...still digging....

I'm sorry to say that my knowledge of setup of Jedi servers was only
limited to a little playing around. If you've seen other servers do it
before, certainly there is a way to do it with a config file or a
simple mod.

Best of luck,
