On March 22, 1966, Johnnie M. Curlee, a Specialist 4th class with the
1st Cavalry Division, died in Vietnam. His death is listed as being
from: Non-hostile, ground casualty,intentional homicide. He was born
on Oct 9, 1930 and was from Cleveland,Ohio. Is there an official Army/Military
transcript or press report explaining the details of his death and
subsequent courts martial of the American soldier who shot him?

It would help with the research if you happen to know the name of the
soldier who shot him.  There will probably be something about this in
the Cleveland Plain Dealer newspaper.

Thanks Keith.  Unfortunately I don't know the name of the shooter. 
That is in part the reason for my inquiry.  I am told the shooter was
temporarily assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division, but was actually
attached to a Special Forces
A-team/
