The US Genealogy project
http://www.us-census.org/resources/cd.htm
has provided a list of several companies that they recommend to
purchase copies of Census-es and/or lists of the names of the people
who were counted. Unfortunately, it appears that you have to buy on a
county-and-year basis ... unless I have mis-understood their offers.

I believe that my family spread out over a ten or so -county area ...
so the cost of obtaining these documents which, may not contain family
members, seems a bit costly.

I'm looking for CD's of complete *digital* listings and or copies of
the pages (with a reader) ... for lets say,
the 1860 Census in a particular state. I'm willing to pay for an
entire state's census for a particular year. However, I am not
willing to buy individual CD's (@$20 per county) on a county-by-county
basis. I have found a lot of potential items on rootsweb and
their related ftp interface ... however, no luck with my family.

Has anyone done it? I.E., put an entire state's census, in this case,
Ohio, on a CD for a particular year.

In particular, I'm looking for a specific family that ended up in
southwestern Ohio starting in about 1836. So, I'm looking for Ohio
census-es conducted from about 1840-1900.

Thanks for your help.

Becky

PS ... Do you have a "genealogy" category?

you have any questions, please post a clarification request before

As far as I know, GA does not have a genealogy category, but someone
may correct me on this.

Thank you,
