I am seeking information regarding the business of automated patient reminders and lab results and similar systems. I am currently developing a system to do this and want to find out about the market for these types of systems and who my competition is. In a nutshell, the concept for my product is a hosted system with email and web interfaces that allow customers to send information to us. Then our system will process the automated phone calls and bill the customers. We will be starting by providing patient appointment reminder services to a few hundred doctors offices via some regional medical societies. Here is a small list of similar companies/products that I found with a quick google search: www.smarttalk.com www.audiocare.com http://www.phonetree.com/products/medical/prolab.htm http://www.ivoice.com/ivr/apps/doctor.htm http://www.speechtechmag.com/pub/industry/2037-1.html http://www.skutchelectronics.com/patient_reminder.htm I would like an exhaustive list of potential competitors web sites. I would also like a basic market analysis that may indicate who some of the major players are in this space. I am particularly interested in those that are hosted/ASP model as opposed to standalone systems. I am interested in similar applications for this technology. For example, automated surveys, collections, etc. Thank you, Brandon |

Don't forget to include conglomerate companies that include business units that have these types of product lines. The ones that come to mind are McKesson, Cerner, Eclipsys...maybe Siemens and GE. If I were the searcher, I'd check trade pubs to see if they've done side-by-side comparisons on this type of product as a kind of buyer's guide. I think there's a trade pub called something like "Healthcare IT Executive", and there are probably several others. The industry group HIMSS may also have something. If someone has a Factiva account it would probably be pretty easy to follow this line of reasoning. (Sorry, I don't have the time to devote to it at the moment). Good Luck fomoco |
