What is "error loading toolbar resources"? --which annoyingly appears
as a new bar below the address bar. How can I stop this?

Have you tried using a spyware-zapping program such as AdAware or
SpyBot? It sounds as if your problem may be related to a browser
hijacker or similar item of malware.

Provided that you are using IE5+, navigate to the "Tools" dropdown
menu and select "Internet Options". Click on the "Advanced" tab, and
proceed to locate and uncheck the "Enable third-party browser
extensions" checkbox.

Like my colleague Pinkfreud-ga, the only explanation I could find on
your problem is a spyware. You could read what spywares are (and how
