Hello again, John! Here are links to ten sites that offer quite a bit of information about gravity: Flipcode: Gravity FAQ http://www.flipcode.com/documents/gravity.txt How Stuff Works: How Does Gravity Work? http://www.howstuffworks.com/question232.htm Wolfram Science: History of Gravity Theory http://www.wolframscience.com/reference/notes/1047c The Fourth Dimension: Space-Gravity Theory http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaveral/7997/spacegravity.html Gothos: Jillian's Guide to Gravitational Waves http://www.dragonweave.com/gothos/html/gravitational_waves/ Online Journey Through Astronomy: Sir Isaac Newton/The Universal Law of Gravitation http://csep10.phys.utk.edu/astr161/lect/history/newtongrav.html Introduction to Astronomy, Ohio University: Einstein's Theory of Gravity http://plato.phy.ohiou.edu/~dutta/notes/node17.html Astronomy Today: Quantum Gravity http://www.astronomytoday.com/cosmology/quantumgrav.html Curtin University of Technology: The History of Gravitation http://www.curtin.edu.au/curtin/dept/phys-sci/gravity/history/history.htm Curtin University of Technology: Exploring Gravity http://www.curtin.edu.au/curtin/dept/phys-sci/gravity/index2.htm (Be sure to click the desired levels in the "Options Menu" on the left.) Here's a good search through ScienceNet's database that will take you to several hundred pages of gravity-related articles: ScienceNet Search: "gravity" http://search.webtools.dircon.net/?config=w02-0022&words=gravity Search terms used: "gravity" "gravity faq" "gravity" + "theory" "theory of gravity" "law of gravity" "gravitational theory" "gravitational waves" "four fundamental forces" "classical gravity" "newtonian gravity" "einsteinian gravity" "quantum gravity" If the sites I've listed do not meet your needs, or if a link does not function, please request clarification. I'll be glad to refocus my search as needed. Best always, pinkfreud |
