Hello, jim751-ga

According to the Physician Database maintained by the American
Medical Association at http://www.ama-assn.org/aps/amahg.htm, there
are no "resident" hepatologists listed in either Las Vegas or
Henderson.

I also searched through some other databases and could find no
hepatologists in either city.

However, I did find two clinics that provide outreach services
===============================================================

California Pacific's Las Vegas outreach clinic
http://www.cpmc.org/advanced/liver/physicians/outreach.html#Las%20Vegas

Two Locations:

Physician:
Robert Gish, M.D.

Contact/Location:
Marilyn Stark
Desert Gastroenterology
3150 N. Tenaya #630
Las Vegas, NV 89128
Tel. 702/255-5900

Contact/Location:
Micki Vincent, RN
Sunrise Hospital
3131 La Canada, Rm. 134
attn: Specialty Services
Las Vegas, NV 89109
Tel. 702/836-5841

California Pacific Medical Center's Liver Disease & Transplant Program
is unique among Northern California centers in our strong commitment
and dedication to community outreach.

Whether you live in Northern California or Nevada, we bring our
specialists to you. Lab tests, clinic visits and exams can all be
performed close to the patient's home. Additionally, at our East Bay
(Oakland) and Sacramento outreach sites, we offer hepatitis research
trials.

Our extensive outreach benefits patients and their physicians by
providing close to home many of the services needed to maintain a
healthy transplant. Patients with viral hepatitis can also participate
in research trials through our outreach clinics. This convenient
access affords each of our patients an excellent opportunity for liver
disease management and successful transplantation.

Read a patient profile:
http://www.cpmc.org/advanced/liver/patients/stories/fleischmann.html

"Through California Pacific's Las Vegas outreach clinic, Sandy sees
her hepatologist, Dr. Gish, once a month. "When someone saves your
life, you have a strong bond with them and want to maintain that
relationship," she explains. "The outreach program is great because I
didn't have to have my medical care handed off to someone new.
Instead, I can continue to see Dr. Gish locally in Las Vegas."

=====

Stanford Hospital and Clinics
http://www.stanfordhospital.com/clinicsmedServices/COE/transplant/livertransplant/servicesliveroutreachclinics.html

"The adult and pediatric hepatologists at Stanford regularly provide
consultations and follow-up care in several outreach clinics in
Northern California, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington. New patients are
evaluated for a wide variety of liver diseases. Many patients receive
regular follow-up care at local clinics, and others may be referred to
Stanford for specialized care."

(You will need to call them concerning the possiblity of an outreach
clinic in Las Vegas, since I could find no listings on the website)

I will be happy to look further if you would consider travelling to
another state. However, the above references were the only two I could
find in Las Vegas or Henderson. Perhaps the two clinics mentioned will
be able to provide you with some other references that were not
available in an online search.

Very quick response with much more than I had been able to find in
hours of research.
