Question ID: 219037
I want to know how many women give birth each year in a number of
countries. i.e. how many new mothers last year?

I want to know how many women are mothers of children under 17 in the
same countries. i.e. How many women are mothers of children under 17
years of age.

I want to know how many women have ever been mothers in the same
countries.

The countries are Australia, UK, USA, Canada, Japan, Germany, France,
Spain.

I need to know the data source for each piece of data so it can be
correctly referenced.

Hi bendingo,
I believe UNICEF's "League table of teenage births in rich nations" is
the most comprehensive survey done around this subject, and the report
should answer most of your questions
http://www.unicef.org.uk/index_s.asp?sct=news&filen=../news/presscentre/teenagepregnancy270502.htm
You can download the complete report here:

Let me know if this suffices as an answer.

Dear Jackburton-ga,

Thank you for your reply, but I do not find it an answer to my
question. It gives only data on teenage births.

I want to know how many women of all ages give birth each year. and
How many women have ever given birth.

And how many women are mothers of children under eighteen years of
age.

I am developing a product of use to mothers, and I need to know how
many there are.

I'm sorry not to reply sooner. I had no paper to print off the report
you recommended, just to check properly and be sure it did not have
the data embedded somewhere. So I had to wait until I could get back
to the computer.

Again, thanks,

Bendigo-ga
