Hello gabireka,
I had forgotten about sending an e-mail requesting installation
instructions for your carphone. Then today I received a .doc file from
dtran@lge.com. I opened the file and copied/pasted it here. Of course
the drawings did not copy in a text file, but this is all the written
instructions. I would be glad to send you the entire .doc file that I
received, if you can give me some way to send it to you.

Section 1: Installation
The SGHN0003101 is a Hands-free Car Kit (HFK) for the LG VX1/VX10
wireless phone. It should not be used with other phones. The
SGHN0003101 provides the following functions:
· Hands-free speakerphone operation.
· Phone battery charging utilizing the vehicles power source (10.5
-16VDC)
<Component & Wiring Diagram>
1. Installation Position
To improve audio performance and reduce echo effects it is recommended
that the microphone and speaker be installed with the maximum amount
of separation possible.
Recommended installation positions are provided in Figure 2 below.
<Installation Position Diagram>
2. Cradle Installation
Select an appropriate flat surface where the unit will not interfere
with the drivers ability to operate the vehicle or degrade the
passengers comfort. The driver/user should be able to access the
phone with ease.
Cradle mounting brackets are not included!
Please refer to the installing party for mounting bracket options.
Section 3: Technical Notes:
a) At the beginning of a call, the user may experience an echo for 10
~ 30 seconds until the DSP in the HFK adjusts to the new call
environment and cancels the echo.
b) A sudden noise may trigger the DSP to reduce the speaker volume.
c) The power cable uses 2 fuses:
The fuse on the red wire (3.15A) is for the battery power lead.
The fuse on the yellow wire (1A) is for the ignition sensing lead.
d) When in a hands-free call, if both parties speak at the same time
the landside party may experience an echo of their own voice.
This page intentionally left blank3. Speaker Installation
Select an appropriate flat surface under the dash on the passenger
side (solid enough to withstand the vibration of the speaker) and
mount the speaker bracket with the two self-tapping screws provided.
Attach the speaker firmly to the bracket using the two finger screws
and rubber washers provided (Fig.6). Connect the speaker cable to the
speaker connector and hide the rest of the speaker cable from view.
4. Microphone Installation
Locate the microphone to or near the sun visor (drivers side), by
using the provided double-sided tape.
Important!
To maximize sound quality, the microphone should be installed within
20 inches of the user.
To minimize echo effects it is important to maintain a distance of 4
feet between the microphone and speaker.
5. Cable Connection
· Power, Ignition and Ground cable leads:
Connect the red wire to the vehicle battery positive terminal
Connect the black wire to the vehicle chassis.
Connect the yellow wire to the vehicle ignition terminal (the ignition
source should maintain power through the vehicle start cycle).
· The green wire is used for Radio Mute. Additional parts may be
required. Please refer to the vehicle user manual, or qualified
installing party.
· Antenna cable connection:
Connect the antenna extension cable connector from the cradle to the
external antenna connector. (Antenna is not provided).
Important!
Make sure the antenna leads are securely connected.
Make sure the phone antenna is retracted before placing the handset
into the cradle.
The HFKs sound quality is directly related to the quality of the
external antenna.
Section 2: Operation
1. Connecting the Handset to the HFK:
a) Remove the rubber connector covers from the antenna connector on
the rear of the phone and from the IO connect at the base of the
phone.
b) Connect the coiled cord interface connector to the base of the
phone (Fig.7).
c) After connecting the coiled cord interface connector to the phone,
slide the phone into the cradle until the latch is secured over the
antenna. (Fig.8).
If the installation was completed successfully, the green LED will
light when the vehicle ignition is turned on. The phone is now in the
hands-free stand-by mode and is ready for use.
2. Releasing the Handset from the HFK: To release the phone from the
cradle, slide the latch to the left. 3. Hands-Free/Privacy Mode:
When the phone is in the cradle, the green LED indicates that the
phone is in the hands-free mode.
In the hands-free mode the user speaks into the microphone and the
other partys voice is heard from the speaker.
If the phone is removed from the cradle, it will operate in the
privacy mode and the LED will change to red.
The user may switch between the two modes during a call without losing
the connection.
4. Ignition Sensing:
The hands-free kit ignition sensing will control the phone power
state. When the ignition is turned off the phone will power off.
If the user is in a call and the ignition is turned off the hands-free
kit will remain powered until the call is completed and will then
automatically switch off.
5. Charging the Battery:
While the phone is connected to the hands-free kit the phone battery
will be charged regardless of the ignition state.
6. Volume Controls:
While the phone is attached to the HFK and inserted into the cradle
the volume up/down keys located on the side of the phone may be used
to increase or decrease the hands-free speaker volume.
