This is for a client that sends out HTML e-mails:

Formatting a newsletter that Lotus Notes e-mail users can read has
always been a challenge. That's because the 5.0 and 6.0 versions of
Notes don't always display even the simplest HTML e-mail correctly.
Nor do these programs fall back to displaying the short, explanatory
plain-text message that accompanies my newsletter for non-HTML-capable
e-mail programs.

A slight change in the format of HTML e-mail enables the mail to
display
correctly. In particular, this one displays correctly:

http://BriansBuzz.com/w/030605

But this old HTML e-mail does not:

http://BriansBuzz.com/w/030522

What kind of HTML will and won't work in Notes? Please elaborate.
Thanks.

Hi,

I tried validating your newsletters using W3C HTML Validator
(http://validator.w3.org/) and both of them turned out not to be
valid. There are some serious errors (like closing tr tags without
opening) in the HTML. Please note that some browsers (especially those
produced by Microsoft) are more fault-tolerant to badly formed HTML.
First make sure that you have valid HTML, then re-test the pages with
e-mail clients.

Hope this helps
