Hello elwood796-ga,

This is an interesting and challenging question you've posted. There
were more than 2,700 Merchant Marine ships involved in the Normandy
invasion. There are lists of the major ships involved, such as the
Liberty ships -- these generally include the names of a few hundred
ships.

Are you seeking a comprehensive list of the thousands of ships
involved? If so, I'm not sure I can provide an answer. But if you
are seeking lists of the major ships involved in several categories of
operations (including the blockships that were deliberately scuttled
to form an artifical harbor), then I think I can provide these for
you.

Please let me know your preferences.

Hello again,

I see you've posted a separate question specifically about the Liberty
Ships. Can you let us know the status of this (your first) question
-- how would you like this answered, given that you have another
question out there as well?

P.S. A great deal of research has been done on the Liberty Ships --
including the Charles Fort -- so if that's of interest to you in the
context of this question, just let me know.

Like what Pafalafa said, lists of US merchant ships in D-Day could
easily be found. Very little could be found on ships of other
countries.
