1200 SNYDER LN

Certificate does not show company's address, but it shows
SECURITY TRANSFER AGENTS (BAHAMAS) LIMITED
They were the Transfer agent and Registrar for CALIFORNIA &
SOUTHERN DEVELOPMENT CORP. INC., they cannot be reached by
telephone in the Bahamas, I presume that they no longer exist.

Edsamson-ga,

So far, I haven't uncovered any information on your company. I will
continue looking, but also wanted to ask you a question.

Have you tried any of the commercial services out there that research
old stock certificates like yours? There are several that have good
reputations. The feeds tend to run in the $40-80 range per search.
Several of the services have a policy that there is no charge to you
unless they actually find the information on the company.

In the event that the researchers here do not uncover any information
on CALIFORNIA & SOUTHERN DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION, would you want to
post information about these search services as an answer to your
question?

Since I am located in Europe, I thought that the
easiest and fastest way would be to go through
this Google system, I have indeed contacted a few
stock brockers in Europe and in New York, this was
several month ago........no result.
Any usefull information is welcome, and of course
I accept the extra fees, for as long as they stay
within acceptable limits, i.e. 40 to 80 $.
Than you.

Hello again Edsamson-ga,

Thanks for clarifying what you needed. I have some good news...I did
turn up some info on your company, and a number of contacts that can
help you find even more.

I've listed below several companies that specialize in the exact
service you need -- tracing the fate of stock certificates for
companies that are no longer listed. Where available, I've also
included information on pricing, refund policies, and so on.

I hope this is the information you need. If anything requires
elaboration, just post a Request for Clarification and let me
know...I'll be happy to assist you in any way I can.

And good luck...may your certificates be worth millions!

companies whose original identities have been lost due to a change in
name, merger, acquisition, dissolution, reorganization, bankruptcy or

So does Old Stock Research:

http://www.oldstockresearch.com/

Today there are billions of dollars in the US and Canada being held in
special accounts waiting to be claimed by turning in these old stock
certificates and old bonds. Does your old, uncancelled stocks or old
bonds still have a cash value? Let me find out for you! My stock
research company has been researching old company histories for 22
years! My report will provide you with detailed information on the
current status of your old stock companies including any business name
changes, mergers, acquisitions, stock splits, reorganizations,
bankruptcies or liquidations.

95% SUCCESS RATE - that's a track record I'm proud of. I get the
results on company research 95% of the time. Occasionally I come up
empty handed after exhausting all avenues of research. If that
happens, my research service is FREE to you and you will receive a
FULL REFUND despite my costs and research time.

LOW RESEARCH FEE - my research fee is just $35 to $45 per company when
others are charging $55 to $100 per company. My fee is lower because
my office is in my home and I personally conduct the research on your
certificates. You could pay more for the same service, but why? And
here's a special offer - if you can find a research service that
offers the same services for a lower price, you just tell me and I'll
match it! With these six reasons, you can't ask for a better
agreement between us, can you?

A company called Paperchase International can also research the value
of an old stock certificate for you. You may contact them via this
link, or by phone at (514) 482-3609:

http://www.paperchaseintl.com/

They charge $50 per company search and their site says: "If we cannot
trace your company and thus are unable to assess the value of your
stock, bond and mutual fund certificates; we will offer a full refund
of the stock search fee."

re CALIFORNIA & SOUTHERN, etc
In Memoriam..... Company went bust, although....

The former president is now enjoying playing golf tournaments in the
Bahamas.
I think that he IS NOT a gentlemen, since I was among the fools who
invested money in his "Company", and lost it all, I feel that he could
have at least invited me in the Bahamas, to play golf with him.
You know when stocks dive people also say that they "went south" i.e.
down.
that's why the name of the company was California SOUTHERN.
Maybe I should start a company by the name of California NORTHERN,

Ahhh...c'est la vie.

Sorry to hear you're not a gazillionaire, but at least you now know
where you stand.

Hope we'll see you back at Google Answers one of these days.

All the best,

A 5 star rating for the info, although I lost my investment in a
ghost company. I feel that the info has sharpened my wisdom for any
future investment.
