WEBMASTER OPINION
I think it was the Google researcher who suggested the multiple
occurrence approach. I am not sure of the logic of it, but s/he would
understand the mechanics of Google (and perhaps other engines) better
than I.

We did increase the incidence of the words the researcher suggested to
the number recommended, and s/he did not indicate that additional
occurrences improved things, so I we can probably leave the text
alone.

What you might like to do is to check the meta tags (key words) that I
have supplied to the search engines, so I have listed them below. I
can easily make any additions, amendments or deletions you want.
Checking them, I've spotted that "Tony Gelder" should work as a search
pair since it is in the meta tag list.

Notice that I've tried to allow for poor spelling too!

Meta tags are used in addition to the text on the page and are not
displayed to visitors, but are what we are suggesting to the search
engines are the likely words that people will use to try to find the
site.

Drew.

Hello Tony2,

I suggest including "Irish Holiday Cottages" in the title, if you
think these are the most relevant keywords. But also make sure you put
yourself in the searcher's position and think what one might enter! I
saw your page is indexed by Google, however it may not rank good for
specific search keywords or phrases. To optimize this put up good
content, and a lot of it, and let others know of your site so they
link to you. But be patient, as this process takes time, and hard
work!

Note that it would be better to have a domain named
www.irish-holiday-cottages.co.uk (which is currently free). That
doesn't mean I suggest changing your URL or putting up a second site.
But it's a fact some people, when linking to your site, will take your
URL as link-text. Since Google analyzes the link-text to determine a
site's relevancy to keywords or phrases, dashes in-between words make
it possible for the keywords "irish", "holiday" and "cottages" to be
understood.

I further suggest your target audience and what exactly is the niche
product you have to offer. Is it "Irish Cottages"? Or "Lythwood
Cottages"? How many cottages or places you cover or plan to cover?
It would help if you pass this information on to us as well.

Also, not that meta-keyword optimization is not needed for Google, and
should also not be priority for other search-engines. Focus on your
actual page content instead.

Note that further, detailed Search Engine Optimization would take a
considerable amount of time. So in case you re-post a question (or try
to draw further attention to the current one), you may want to think
of adapting the price to what you feel is a reasonable.

I hope this helps!
