Dear agentofcard, Oracle is commercial DBMS (Data Base Management System), which is designed for high stability and high loads. Oracle supports most of what databases can - JOINs, Subselects, SQL Scripts and so on. See: http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/oraclescrp/chapter/ch01.html for a tutorial on Oracle scripts (free book). Oracle as I said is commercial and more information about it can be found at http://www.oracle.com Oracle runs on most of UNIX compatible Operating Systems - Linux, AIX, FreeBSD and others.
