I am interested in locating a list of guitars made by private guitar
builders (Tom Anderson, etc.), as well as name-brand guitar
manufacturing companies (Fender, etc.) that build guitars that are
outright copies, or very close to the guitar the Trey Anastasio of
Phish plays.

I love guitars and really enjoyed trying to answer your question. The
story of how Paul Languedoc started making guitars for Trey is very
interesting. I won't attempt to try and completely answer your

That is a GREAT copy!  I don't think that their picture does the
guitar much justice...  Maybe it just looks different without a
redhead-hippy playing it. :) Thanks much for your help, let me just
add that this list includes guitars similar to trey's, and is not just
exclusive to identical guitars.  An example of a guitar that could be
put on this list, is the Fender Starcaster which is no longer in
